Art Deco Architecture Tour
In 1934 Melbourne celebrated its centenary and this event provided a
catalyst for a building boom that continued for the next six years to
transform the city.
This tour covers a variety of building types in the centre of the
city from the Manchester Unity Building to the Majorca Building. .The
use of terracotta ‘self-cleaning’ tiles, distinctive patterning, and
design details new during the period will be highlighted. Buildings with
accents on Spanish, Egyptian, Mayan and other cultures can be seen and
indicate what people were interested in the Art Deco period.

History West Tour
The 'History West Tour' concentrates on Melbourne's history in the western side of Hoddle's Grid or the central city area. Our guides will talk about the early history going back more than the 176 years that Melbourne has been in existence what we call the 'Banks and Bullion' tour.
From the start of the tour, your guide will take you from the place where Melbourne was first established near Enterprize Park and through the old commercial side of town seeing old banks built in 19th Century boom times.
Our customers will discover some of the hidden laneways and arcades that Melbourne is famous for, discovering many details easily missed without an expert guide, and finally ending up 2 hours later near St Paul's Cathedral.
This is a historical tour so those that seek a cultural experience should take our Laneways tour. The West tour is available Tuesday to Friday at 2pm only. We are sorry we don't offer it on the weekends but some of the highlights of the tour are in buildings that are closed on weekends.
