07:00 Arrive for Check in

 

07:30 Depart Darwin for an spectacular Scenic flight Over Kakadu and the Surrounding Area.

 

09:00 Land in Davidsons and be greeted with Open Land Cruiser Safari vehicles, followed by a 2-minute drive to the Lodge for restroom facilities and introduction.  

 

09.15 Following a brief introduction, we depart on the morning “Bush Tour”. This would typically be one of the many nearby “Art Sites” such as the Rainbow Serpent tour. While the spectacular ancient rock art is the primary focus of the tour, it also highlights the environment which you will be travelling through with your expert guide providing insight into the local Amurdak culture with demonstrations on bush tucker, bush medicine along with explanation of the geology you will be immersed in. Morning tea is provided.

 

12.30 Return to the lodge for a 1pm exquisite 2 course lunch inspired by the region. The lodge as a fully stocked licensed Bar, please note that drinks are not included in the package.

 

1.30 Depart the lodge in the Open Land Cruiser Safari vehicle for the “Boat Tour”. This starts with a short 5-10 minute drive (seasonal) where you will experience rapidly changing ecology before boarding a cruise boat on the pristine waters of Cooper Creek, experience the wonders of Cooper Creek and Billabongs, where there is a spectacular range of birds and plentiful population of both Estuarine and Freshwater Crocodiles. From there, we discover Ancient Rock art and rich culture artifacts then returning to the lodge by cruising back through the same spectacular waterway to the safari vehicles.

 

5pm: Departure to return to Darwin in the afternoon

 

*Please note that the bush and boat-based tours can vary due to seasonal availability and possible switch from AM to PM but all guests will get to see the best sites available.
