Private Turkish Art Marbling or Calligraphy

In a traditional classroom setting, begin to learn the skills required to create beautiful artwork using the techniques of either Turkish calligraphy or marbling. Practiced and perfected over the centuries, these age-old methods helped decorate delicate manuscripts, producing precious works of art.
Choose either a class in Ebru (marbling) or Turkish calligraphy. Then, using authentic tools and techniques, apply what you've learned as you craft your own piece of art. It might be marbling, using color pigments in oily water to transform plain paper with vibrant patterns, or calligraphy, using reed pens with nibs of varying sizes dipped in ink made from soot to produce delicate script. Whichever method you choose, pick up and develop an ancient skill that has survived the test of time and remains a vital part of Turkish heritage.
