Our all-inclusive luxury Maleny and Montville Private Tour is delightful day out in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, where you’ll feel like you’re riding on a cloud as you look out at the panoramic views from mountain top all day long. By the days end you will have looked out at the entire Sunshine Coast coastline from Noosa to Caloundra, around to the Glass House Mountains, and on a clear day, Moreton Island. This tour has it all, from an old-growth rainforest walk, sightseeing and scenic ridgeline drives to novelty shops and the indulgence of the local produce, including lunch with a drink, chocolate tasting and wine tasting with ocean views.
To further compliment this tour, we provide you with an experienced local guide and door to door pick-ups in a luxury vehicle with reclining seats and a USB port for each seat to charge your phones and cameras along the way.
ITINERARY You will start the day with a nice country drive to our first stop where you will enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee alongside the picturesque view atop Mapleton Falls. A lovely ridgeline drive atop the Blackall Range will then land us in Montville Artisan Village, the prettiest and most unique little village on the hinterland. You will have over an hour to explore the wonderful Montville Artisan Village and its many novelty shops, galleries and artisan delights. We will then go to a charming hinterland cottage cafe for your included lunch and drink. Attached to this cafe is shop filled with local produce, art and crafts. Next, a ridgeline drive will take us to a panoramic lookout with views of the entire Sunshine Coast coastline, from Noosa to Caloundra and as far as Moreton Island on a clear day. We then journey further along the ridgeline to the Maleny region where we will take you on a guided nature walk through a mesmerising remnant old-growth rainforest with giant native trees, many singing birds, pademelons (wallabies) and more. This walk is 1.2km and relatively flat. For those who don't feel comfortable doing this walk, you can joyfully spend your time at the entrance, where there is a discovery centre and cafe with views of the Glass House Mountains. Following our nature walk we take a short drive to another panoramic lookout where you will experience one of the most stunning and photographed views in Australia, with unimpeded views of the picturesque Glass House Mountains. We now indulge is some of the finest artisan Belgian chocolates in the region with a chocolate tasting included at Maleny's favourite chocolate factory from Monday to Saturday and with Montville's favourite chocolate makers on Sunday. A drive through the Maleny village and back along the ridgeline will get us to our last stop, where you can reflect on this amazing day as you participate in a mountain top wine tasting with ocean views at the local’s favourite winery and vineyard. You can now recline your seats and enjoy the journey back down the mountain in comfort, and we will have you back to your accommodation no later than approximately 5:30pm, in time for sunset and dinner.

BRISBANE Pick-ups and Drop-offs
Joel’s Journeys will pick-up and drop-off customers at their home or accommodation in the Brisbane CBD or anywhere between the Brisbane CBD and Sunshine Coast for an additional $300 per booking . Please ensure you select the 'BRISBANE PICK-UP' option and provide your pick-up address when you make the booking. Brisbane Airport drop-offs are also an option for guests picked up from Brisbane. Pick ups in Brisbane outside of the above locations may incur an additional surcharge.

Sunshine Coast Airport Drop-off Available
Make the most of your departure day and be dropped-off at the Sunshine Coast Airport after your private tour for no extra cost. We have plenty of luggage room on the bus to stow your bags for the duration of the tour or transfer. Ensure you select the appropriate airport transfer checkbox option when you make your tour or transfer booking.

Luxury Vehicle for Passenger Loads of 11 or Less
Groups of 11 or less will be chauffeured around in comfort in our luxury 12-seater vehicle. Our bus is equipped with reclining seats and a USB port for each seat to recharge your phones and cameras throughout a day. The vehicle has a fridge running throughout the day to keep cool any cold produce you purchase.
Passenger Loads of 12 or More
Passenger loads of 12 or more guests are subject to the availability of a larger bus, which will be different to the 12-seater bus described above. Please provide us with as much notice as possible for group bookings of 12 to 24 guests.

A lovely country drive will then land us in Kin Kin, deep in the Noosa Hinterland, where you will been shown through this lovely little village, and on the odd occasion have the chance to purchase locally made art & crafts, and local produce. We will continue our country drive through the scenic Kin Kin ranges to the historic Pomona for a gourmet lunch made with local produce at the local’s favourite restaurant. A drink is also included with your lunch. After lunch, use your free time in Pomona to explore the streets, local art gallery or maybe settle in for a gin tasting at the local gin distillery. The afternoon delves into a mead tasting at a beautiful local estate, where the mead-making has been in this family for 3 generations. [Mead tastings are not available on our Sunday tour and replaced with a drink at an equally amazing hinterland craft brewery] A scenic drive to a secret lookout will give us a panoramic view of the country we have travelled through, including views of Noosa Heads. We will finish the day with a premium wine tasting with cheese platter at the local’s favourite winery OR a beer paddle at the local’s favourite brewery in Cooran. We will have you back to your accommodation by approximately 5pm, in time for sunset and dinner.
