Puketapu to Taradale to Ahuriri : Pub, Cocktails & Winery Ride - 4 wineries, 2 gin bars and 3 great pubs 20-35km - shuttle leaves Ahuriri at 12pm every day.
NEW AFTERNOON TOUR leaving at midday, we drop you to PG Arena in Taradale right beside the trail to Puketapu. Head there and stop for a cold drink at the pub and order their world famous tasty pub grub! Cycle back to Taradale on the other side of the loop and on to Ahuriri - you have till 5.30pm to cycle your way back to our base in Ahuriri. You can visit up to 4 wineries, 2 cocktail bars and 3 pubs - a great way to spend an afternoon with friends. Get an ebike and make it easy - no problems cycling with these awesome bikes.
SHUTTLE SCHEDULED WEDNESDAY - THURSDAY - FRIDAY - SATURDAY - SUNDAY PLUS PUBLIC HOLIDAYS.
NOTE: if you are a group over 4ppl - get hold of us as we may be able to offer the shuttle on other days too.

Meet us at our shop in Ahuriri, Napier just before 12pm. Jump in our shuttle to travel to the trails starting at the Tutaekuri River to visit our favourite local Puketapu OR choose the shorter ride and head straight to Taradale's best - the Duke of Gloucester Pub for a quick cold one. You will then cycle through Taradale to visit Church Road and Mission Estate wineries and then connect with the Ahuriri Estuary water trails to get back to our base in Ahuriri - a very enjoyable ride with diverse scenery and great stops.
If you want to 'beast mode' it and do even more riding then add in a diversion to Bayview - another 15km of gorgeous riding and one more winery to visit, Crab Farm.
START Tutaekuri Trails next to PG Arena - you have two routes to choose from - 35km which includes the Puketapu Loop then onto Ahuriri via Taradale/Estuary trails OR 20km skip the Puketapu Loop and head straight to the Taradale wineries and back to Ahuriri via Estuary trails.
ROUTE ONE: Beast Mode 35km - CHOOSE to do the Puketapu LOOP first (there and back to Puketapu pub 18km)
8km SHED 530 winery - the best pizzas in HB and a styley outdoor deck to check the view from
9km Puketapu PUB - support the local institution and stop for the best burger and cold bevvie
18km Taradale shops- don't stop, you're almost at the wineries
21km Church Road Winery - vibrant, award winning winery with top class kitchen and tastings
22km Mission Estate Winery - New Zealand’s oldest winery (bookings essential)
30km Ahuriri Estuary Bridge cross here to get back to base
36km Tākaro Trails BASE in Ahuriri where there are THREE amazing places for the best cocktails - Madame Social, National Gin Distillery and Mix'd.
OR ROUTE TWO: Cruise Mode 20km - CHOOSE to skip Puketapu and head straight to Taradale wineries - Church Road and Mission Estate

19.5km Urban Winery and cocktails at Madame Social, National Gin Distillery and Mix'd and The Gin Trap...OMG, you will spend all night in Ahuriri.
20km Tākaro Trails BASE in Ahuriri You finish in Ahuriri - there are many top class bars and restaurants to keep vibing in!
Allow 3-5hrs for this tour (depending on how many places you stop!) but plan to be back to our base by 5.30pm.

The 'No Worries' Package includes super soft gel seat cover, plus a carrier bag (to hold all the bottles of wine that you will buy!). Includes Bike Insurance Package for the day. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. If your bike is stolen or damaged unintentionally while out on hire with you, you are responsible for the cost. Purchasing this simple insurance covers this possibility.

Cape Winery Tour – River and Coastal trails to Cape Kidnappers. Tour Description: Most POPULAR TOUR – An easy 16-24km ride with a focus on visiting wineries. From the award-winning wineries of Craggy Range, Black Barn and Te Mata Estate near Havelock North you join the trail to cycle through orchard country following the Tuki Tuki River, to the Pacific coast. On reaching the coastal settlement of Te Awanga your cycling efforts are rewarded with visits to more acclaimed wineries including Elephant Hill, Te Awanga Estate and Clearview Estate. Up to 7 wineries on route, lunches offered at Elephant Hill, Clearview.
Allow 6hrs for this tour. At the end of the day you will be collected and transferred back to Ahuriri or your accommodation if required.

Price includes lunch booking at Clearview Winery or Te Awanga Estate + electric bike, helmet, pannier bag, maps and tour briefing, 2 transfers and "No Worries" package.
Wine tastings, rural accommodation pick-ups and lunch not included.
E-bikes included for adults (e-bikes for kids over 12 years and 140cm).

Prices valid from 01 July ‘25 – 30 June ’26. All prices quoted include GST, services of a private guide for guided option, e-bike and helmet hire, riding map, insurance, back-up support and transfers as indicated. Based on 2pp minimum booking. Child age – 8-14 years.
• Tours operate 7 days a week except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and in most weather conditions. If the weather is not co-operating then we will offer a guided tour in a private vehicle.

• Invoices sent day of tour to be paid within 30 days.
