Scuba Diving Leigh

We will take you Scuba Diving in the Ocean for your first time!

• Meet at Goat Island Dive & Snorkel - 142A Pakiri Road, 0947 Leigh (just above Leigh Sawmill Cafe).  
  
• Dive theory lesson at the Goat Island Dive Center, this includes basic scuba diving skills using the SSI standards and how the scuba equipment works
• Gear up time!
• We jump in the water at Goat Island Marine Resreve or at Matheson Bay, practice snorkel skills and get your confidence levels up in the safety of the shallow water.
  
• Then, under the direct supervision of your Instructor you will descend into shallow depths where you take your first breaths underwater! Blow your first bubbles under water. 
• Your Instructor will be with you all the way, ensuring that you stay safe and comfortable at all times. Our ratio is two clients per instructor - so you are super safe!.
• You will be part of a natural aquarium, myriads of colourful fish and marine life including blue maomao, huge snapper, eagle and stingrays, blue cod, octopus, kahawai and crayfish. Sometimes dolphins or orca come and play, this might be your day!
  

***PLEASE NOTE***

- A medical questionaire will be sent to you upon order confirmation for you to email back to us.  You will need to answer "NO" to all questions on the medical form. If you answer, "YES" to any questions, you will have to see your doctor to get permission to go scuba diving. See the image for details for initial information. If you show up without form signed with 'Yes' or doctors certification, and we will not be able to take you diving or offer you a refund.

- Must be able to speak English

- Must have snorkeled before (if you have not, we advise you to complete our "Guided Snorkel Tour" first).

- Have basic swimming knowledge (can swim 100 m).

- Must be at least 16 years of age. 

- 10 years to 15years can be approved by arrangement, please email to arrange dive@goatislanddive.co.nz
