Dunsborough Whale Watching Eco Tours

Dunsborough Whale Watching

Experience the annual whale migration in the calm, sheltered waters of Geographe Bay with Naturaliste Charters.

Established in 1993, we are the South West’s longest-running whale watching operator, with more than 30 years of experience sharing Western Australia’s incredible marine wildlife.

Our spacious, purpose-built 23-metre catamaran, the Alison Maree, offers multiple viewing areas, comfortable indoor seating, modern bathroom facilities and plenty of room to move around while searching for whales.

During the southern migration, guests have the opportunity to encounter Humpback Whales as they travel through and rest in Geographe Bay. Southern Right Whales, Blue Whales and Minke Whales may also be sighted.

Other marine wildlife may include:

  • New Zealand Fur Seals
  • Bottlenose and Common Dolphins
  • Seabirds and other ocean wildlife

Our experienced crew provide expert commentary about the whales, their behaviour and the surrounding marine environment throughout the tour.

Guests with limited mobility or concerns about boarding should contact our office before booking so we can discuss whether the experience is suitable.

Whale Sighting Policy

As whales are wild animals, sightings cannot be guaranteed. However, Naturaliste Charters maintains a very high whale-sighting success rate.

If no whales are sighted during your tour, our applicable No Whale Sighting Policy will apply.
