Your first stop is a family-run winery nestled among the hills — one we know personally. In their cellar, the producers themselves will walk you through the secrets of Piedmont winemaking as you taste five of the region's finest reds, including a Barbaresco.


From there, you'll head into Alba, a small city punching well above its weight. Set at the centre of the UNESCO-recognised Langhe landscape, Alba's medieval streets hide centuries of history alongside some of the best food in Italy. This is the white truffle capital of the world — the legendary truffle fair takes over the city on weekends throughout October and November — and it's also home to Ferrero, the makers of Nutella.
