Bike Tours Napier

We have a large fleet of stylish Sinch Jaunt e-bikes. Comfortable step-through style, pedal assisted with the latest in Shimano electronic system, they have a wide range of 60-150km on a charge depending on the level of assistance. Equipped with 9 gears, disc brakes, suspension fork and comfy gel seat they are made for easy and safe riding. Perfect for those wanting to enjoy the scenery more, go little bit further or not feeling confident of keeping up with their companions.
Our bikes come with helmet, rear bag, lock, maps and advice and mechanical assistance.

Please note that e-bikes can not be transported in or on your car - please talk to us about transport options should they be required.

Hired bikes must be returned within our opening hours, unless otherwise arranged. A late fee of $80 per bike may apply if the bike is returned outside these hours.
For 24 hour hire or longer, the hired bike must be stored safely inside overnight. Or for your convenience return the bike overnight to our store within our opening hours and pick up again the following day to complete your hire. It's safer and we make sure the bike charged up and clean for your next day!

Leaving from our shop, you will cycle along the beautiful coast and through the wetlands, before arriving out to the coastal wineries. Reward yourself with wine tasting and lunch at one of the three cellar doors. Enjoy the views of Cape Kidnappers and perhaps take a stroll along the beach before our shuttle arrives to return you to Napier.
There are three wineries you can visit. Opening days and hours for these vary, we will do our best to notify you of what wineries will be open on your ride.

For your coffee needs there are Haumoana Coffee and Brown Dog Espresso along the way.
If you wish to have lunch at one of the wineries, we recommend making a booking (essential on weekends) as they are very popular. Please get in touch with us if you would like help planning times.


Allow 3-5 hours, distance approx 23-27km.
Start time indicative only, bikes will be ready at store opening time. We recommend to leave between 10.00-11.30 AM at your leisure. Most people take 2 to 2.5 hours to cycle this route, and we recommend allowing at least 1/2 hour for wine tasting and at least an hour for lunch.

Pick up is at 4.00 PM from Elephant Hill
Pricing:



$100 per person for an electric bike.

$65 per person for standard bike


$50 per person - kids up to 16years of age


Pricing includes bike hire, helmet, lock, bag, maps and written instructions, mechanical assistance for hassle free ride and transport to and from the start and end of this ride. Wine tasting is not included.

We have couple of tandems by Avanti, ideal for longer missions, they have a sporty frame, 24 gears and disc brakes.
Also available is the stylish Schwinn Tango Tandem great for cruising up and down the waterfront pathway.

Our bikes come with helmet, front bag, lock, maps and advice and mechanical assistance.

This is our most popular cycle tour! Self guided with transport included, this is the perfect tour for those whose two loves are wine and scenic, easy riding.


We will take you and your bike to Black Barn Winery and from there a short ride with stunning views of Te Mata Peak will see you making your way down the Tukituki River. Visit another 2 cellar doors before a gorgeous cycle along the riverbank to the coast. Haumoana and Te Awanga villages will welcome you with cafes (one of which offers wine tasting too) and 3 more wineries. Return to Napier by our shuttle bus leaving from Elephant Hill Winery at 4pm.
