cycle touring by Tour de Vines. Join us on our special Northern Rivers
Rail Trail (NRRT) cycling tour. Staying 2 nights in luxurious Byron Bay, you
will cycle the newly extended NRRT exploring all that this incredible region
has to offer.

Itinerary
Days: 2 nights/3 days
Start/End: Byron Bay/Brisbane

Day 1 – Arrival to Byron Bay
Arrive into beautiful Byron Bay and check into your
accommodation. Centrally located you are
within walking distance of all the main highlights of this deservedly popular
coastal town. There is no cycling on your arrival day, so
check into your accommodation (after 2pm) and enjoy the town. Your guide will meet you at the hotel at 6.30pm
and head to our welcome dinner.

Day 2 – Transfer to Casino. Cycling
to Lismore. Cycling 45km
After enjoying our
breakfast, we transfer to the start of the southern section of the Northern
Rivers Rail Trail and the trail head of Casino, in the Richmond Valley. We will ride back toward Byron Bay from here
covering a leisurely 45kms of flat and delightful cycling, finishing at the
lovely town of Lismore. But not before stopping for a café lunch in
Bentley and a couple of other notable stops to be advised on tour!

Day 3 – Transfer
to Murwillumbah. C ycling to
Crabbes Creek. Cycling 24km

Enjoy
breakfast and get ready to transfer for your first day of cycling on the
Northern Rivers Rail Trail. We transfer
from Brisbane aiming for the Tweed section of the Northern Rivers rail trail,
kicking off the cycling from Murwillumbah. We pedal past lush forests, tranquil
rivers and charming small towns. Crossing 18 bridges and through 2 tunnels, the
riding today is sheer bliss. We pop into
the Natural Wine Shop in Burringbar for a tasting of course.


After
completing the cycling we hop in the bus and transfer back into Byron Bay. For those continuing onto the Queensland
Trails tour, we transfer into Brisbane to meet our new fellow riders and the
start of the exciting Queensland section of this tour. Sad farewells and the completion of this leg
of the trip.
