Colosseum Special Access Arena Floor and Roman Forum Tour

Avoid the standard group tour and immerse yourself in the Colosseum's 2,000-year history with this special access Ancient Rome experience.
We'll skip the long ticket lines and walk in the same steps of gladiators, emperors, and doomed prisoners. Bloodthirsty Romans gathered in the in this ancient stadium to watch deadly sports and executions, and I'll explain every gory detail.
We'll spend about 90 minutes exploring the Colosseum with special access onto the arena floor where gladiators fought, while also allowing you free time for photos and self-exploration.
Following the Colosseum, we'll make our way to the Roman Forum (Ancient City) and Palatine Hill (Cesar's Palace) where we'll again enjoy special access to secret passages used by the Emperor, and not open to the general public.
Surrounded by picturesque ruins we'll visit ancient palaces, temples, tombs, the House of the Vestal Virgins, and the Senate house before finishing the tour at the tomb of Julius Cesare.
This tour concludes in the center of Rome's ancient ruins, which are also conveniently located in modern Rome's city center; leaving easy access to local restaurants, cafes, and shopping.

Colosseum Underground, After Hours Dungeons Tour with Ancient City

This seasonal experience combines both an evening city tour, and a unique opportunity to visit the Colosseum Dungeon's after hours.
You'll avoid the daytime heat and begin at Rome's center square: Piazza Venezia. Surrounded by Mussolini era sites, Renaissance Palaces, and Ancient Roman ruins your tour guide will explain Rome's history from inception to modern times.
Next, we'll venture down the Ancient Imperial road, with overlooks of the Roman Forum (old city) and emperor Trajan's ancient market. We'll see temples, tombs, and the Senate house, with in-depth descriptions of their use and purpose.
You'll also have time to stop for panoramic photos atop one of the highest points in the center of Rome.
After the Ancient City portion, you'll arrive at the tour's final stop: the Colosseum. You'll spend time outside discussing its construction, architecture, and the deadly events that took place inside. Entrance is provided through a privileged back gate where gladiators once walked on their way to the violent games.
Inside a local expert guide from the Colosseum will provide the guided tour through the arena floor and dungeons (only employees of the Colosseum may guide guests at night).
This tour includes about 1 hour on the evening city tour, and 1.5 hours in the Colosseum, with all admission tickets included.

- You must provide full names and matching ID to enter the Colosseum. Failure to bring ID which matches the names provided at the time of your booking will result in refusal of entry to the Colosseum by the site's guards.
