You’ll enjoy guided tastings of premium local wines in stylish, intimate settings. Each stop reveals a new story, flavour, or winemaking philosophy, often in beautifully restored historic buildings or contemporary urban spaces.
The highlight is Smith & Sheth in Havelock North — winner of Cellar Door of the Year 2022, where we will have a tasting in their Heretaunga Studio. This beautifully curated studio invites guests to experience wine through sight, sound, and sensation. Every detail is intentional. Every pour, personal. Smith & Sheth offers more than just wine tasting. Every sip is paired with immersive story telling and a lot of heart.

Step back in time on our Hawke’s Bay Historic Wineries Tour. Visit Mission Estate, New Zealand’s oldest winery, founded by French missionaries in 1851, and taste elegant wines while exploring the beautifully preserved building and cellar.


Be driven through historic Taradale, lined with charming villas and early settler cottages that tell the story of Hawke’s Bay’s wine pioneers.


Next, we will visit Church Road Winery, established in 1897 by Tom McDonald, father of NZ’s fine reds.


To finish, we’ll take you up to Bluff Hill Lookout for sweeping views over Napier Port, the Pacific Ocean, and Napier’s Art Deco skyline.

The Craggy Range Deluxe is a celebration of Hawke’s Bay’s most iconic landscapes and wine experiences. Your day begins at the world-renowned Craggy Range, where you'll take in the beauty of this architecturally stunning winery, nestled beneath the majestic Te Mata Peak. Discover their winemaking philosophy, enjoy a guided tasting of their exceptional wines, and take a behind-the-scenes look through the fermentation rooms and underground cellar.
From there, we ascend to the summit of Te Mata Peak, where panoramic views stretch across the Heretaunga Plains to the coastline—an unmissable highlight that captures the heart of Hawke’s Bay.
And if we haven’t spent too long soaking up the beauty of Craggy Range and Te Mata Peak, we’ll make our way to a second boutique winery for one more tasting experience—because in Hawke’s Bay, there’s always time for another great glass of wine.
