Experience the authentic flavors of Puglia with a cheesemaking workshop set in the heart of Salento, near Lecce. Hosted in a historic farmhouse in Martano, this immersive activity offers a unique opportunity to discover rural traditions, local gastronomy, and the art of traditional cheese production.


Your experience begins with a guided visit of the farmhouse, where you’ll explore the rural spaces, meet the animals, and learn about the daily life of local farmers. This introduction provides valuable insight into how agricultural traditions have shaped Salento’s food culture and why cheesemaking plays such a central role in the region.


You’ll then watch a live mozzarella-making demonstration led by Andrea, an expert local cheesemaker, who will explain each step of the process inside the dairy laboratory. Afterward, it’s your turn to get hands-on: create your own fresh cheese from scratch during the workshop and take it home as a delicious souvenir.


The experience concludes with a cheese tasting featuring artisanal cheeses made with fresh farm milk, paired with a glass of local wine. A genuine and engaging food experience that captures the essence of Puglia’s countryside.
