Cooking Experience Spongano

Step into Vittoria’s cozy private villa near Otranto for a hands-on orecchiette cooking class designed for travelers who want more than a standard food experience.
The activity takes place in Spongano, a small village in Salento about 30 minutes by car from Otranto. After a warm welcome, you will settle into your workstation and learn how to prepare fresh pasta dough from scratch. Vittoria will guide you step by step as you shape traditional handmade orecchiette, one of Puglia’s most iconic pasta types.
While the pasta rests, relax in the garden with a glass of local wine and enjoy the atmosphere of a real Salento home. This small-group experience can be multilingual and is a great opportunity to meet fellow travelers, share stories, and enjoy a relaxed evening together.
Dinner is inspired by local flavours and a sustainable approach. Seasonal products are selected from small local producers and, whenever possible, from the host’s own garden. Even the table setting has a personal touch, with unique vintage plates collected from local markets.
At the end of the workshop, the orecchiette you prepared will be cooked and served with a classic tomato sauce. The evening continues with local food, wine, dessert, homemade liqueur and coffee in a warm, home-style atmosphere.
