Located just a short distance from the heart of the capital, our Barnes woodland bushcraft venue is the perfect place to put your survival skills to the ultimate test! The dedicated team of survival experts have years of experience under their belts, and with their help you'll master everything from foraging to fire lighting. So if you're a budding Bear Grylls this is the perfect place to find out exactly what it takes to survive in the wild.

Food and drinks can be provided at the venue but you will only be 2 minutes away from the local shops. For an additional £36 per changing room you can hire changing rooms, which include the use of showers. Two would be necessary for male and female bookings. We also provide toilets, including those with disabled access.

Half Day Stag / Hen Bushcraft

This intensive half-day survival course is far from traditional but if you're a budding Bear Grylls and want a stag or hen party with a difference this is the perfect activity for you. The day starts with a full introduction to the world of bushcraft from an experienced instructor, followed by a short safety briefing. Over the course of the day you'll cover the most essential survival skills, and the session starts with the art of matchless fire lighting. The stags will then learn the basic principles of shelter building, while the hens learn how to make rustic bread and carve a bread knife out of wood. The day comes to a close with a few celebratory drinks made using foraged ingredients so expect sloe gin, elderberry vodka and rose hip vodka all to be on the menu.

This full day bushcraft experience is a superb day out for all the family and is truly what childhood memories are made of! You'll take part in a range of magical activities that will really take you back to nature starting with fire lighting without using any matches. Once shown the different techniques you'll have a chance to try yourself and get a roaring fire ready to cook a delicious lunch. As well as rustic breads, nettle soup and other foraged foods there's even scrumptious wild pesto and gourmet jams. In the afternoon you'll learn how to build a shelter using natural materials plus using the natural environment to navigate around your surroundings, before rounding the day off with a stealthy hunting game!

Half Day Team Building Bushcraft

This challenging half-day team building event is far from easy, but if you're ready put your teamwork and survival skills to the test, there's nothing quite like bushcraft. The session starts with a short introduction to the world of bushcraft, followed by a selection of gourmet refreshments made using foraged ingredients. With the introductions over it's time to get the action underway and the first survival skill you'll be trying your hand at is shelter building, which requires teamwork, creativity and resourcefulness. After constructing your make-shift shelter, it's onto woodland navigation and to put your sense of direction to the test you'll be taking part in a woodland scavenger hunt. The final survival skill you'll be tackling as a team is fire lighting, and after gathering wood and building the fire you'll learn a range of traditional techniques to get the fire going.
These activities are a guide and are flexible. Choose from additional activities such as foraging, navigation, trapping and building an outdoor sauna.

After lunch it's onto shelter building for the boys and a hand-built outdoor sauna session for the girls, though the afternoon activities can be swapped prior to booking. Full Day Team Building Bushcraft

Get ready to put your teamwork to the ultimate test by learning how to master some of the trickiest survival skills around. This challenging full day team building experience gets under way with a short introduction to the art of bushcraft, followed by a woodland treasure hunt with a twist. The treasure hunt involves foraging for clues, and after learning about a number of different plants and flowers you'll have to find them all. After a quick break for refreshments it's onto the second activity of the day which is collecting wood for the fire, and building and lighting it in time for lunch. With the fire blazing it's time for some campfire cooking and on the menu will be a selection of wood pigeon, fresh fish, baked potatoes, rustic bread, nettle soup and chocolate bananas. Once lunch has settled you'll learn some basic knife skills and try your hand at carving, which will come in particularly handy for the last challenge of the day. The water challenge is the final task of the day and is designed to test everything you've learnt, as you work as a team to source and purify water.
