Discover the Brisbane Skies with this introduction to the Sky Dance Experience!

The flight route takes you from Archerfield Airport out east just south of the Brisbane City. After overflying the Brisbane Coastline, Moreton Bay and the coral reefs come into sight - teeming with marine life this area is one of the most important coastal resources in Australia. Dolphins, Sting Ray, Sharks, Turtles, and an abundance of other fish populate the waters. After flying across Stradbroke Island, the flight takes you up the eastern coastline towards Point Lookout and Amity Point. Crossing the shallow waterway in-between Moreton and Stradbroke Island is especially beautiful during the changing of the tides, as the water currents can flow at tremendous speeds creating wild rapids and standing waves in the small channel. After flying up the eastern coastline of Southern Moreton Island and across the famous Sand Dunes, the return journey will take you down the Western coastline of Southern Moreton and past numerous shipwrecks and fisheries. Flying over Peel Island and Horseshoe Bay, it's homeward bound to Archerfield.


This flight route takes you on our choice flight route through some of the most beautiful locations on these sand islands. If you know where you want to fly and it is within the flight range, custom flight routes are available as well. If you know what you want to see, talk with your pilot on the day and he or she can substitute different parts of the island.

The Sky Dance Mt Warning and Border Ranges Scenic Flight begins at the Archerfield Jet Base with a presentation on the spiritual and geological history of the area. Enjoy fresh espresso, chocolates, and refreshments, before boarding our VIP turbo-charged Piper Saratoga or Piper Chieftain.


Departing to the south of Brisbane, this flight route is our most highly recommended. You can get a real feel for how the area was formed with the aerial perspective - flying through the Scenic Rim and the Tweed Valley Caldera. Mt Warning, The Lamington Plateau, Springbrook National Park, Mt Tamborine, The Lost World Plateau, The Border Ranges, The Scenic Rim (Mt Barney, Mt Lindesay, Mt Maroon, and Mt French), to name a few, are all destinations through this flight. Exploring the incredible remnants of these shield volcanoes is nothing short of inspiring. Once standing over 6000 ft tall, these volcanoes were once part of a different age as the Australian continent moved south. This volcanic history has given birth to the massive rock structures, vast mountain ranges, pristine coastlines, and rich sub-tropical rainforests that we can explore today.

The Sky Dance Glasshouse Mountains Scenic Flight begins typically early morning or late afternoon at the Archerfield Jet Base with a presentation on the spiritual and geological history of the area, fresh espresso, chocolates, and refreshments, before boarding our luxury turbo-charged Piper Saratoga or Piper Chieftain.


After departing Archerfield Airport, fly up between the Mt Coot-tha TV Towers and the Brisbane CBD with stunning views of Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast. After leaving the city behind, descend down to fly through the Glasshouse Mountains.


Seeing the Glasshouse Mountains from all sides gives a unique perspective on their geological beginnings, and the true scale of their grandeur! With the volcanic peaks just off the wing tip you can you can make out the igneous rock layers and colours, giving good insight into their geological beginnings and a feeling of their grandeur! These ancient ancient volcanic rock structures and are considered sacred spiritual icons dating back to the dreamtime by Australia’s Aboriginal / First Nation People. They are also National Heritage Listed, and are an international icon of the area.


Completing the circle, on the return flight you will view the northern water systems that feed Brisbane, Dayboro, the hinterland around Mt Glorious, Samford Valley, and Brisbane’s northwestern landscape.

With the seasonally good weather this time of year the flying is absolutely spectacular! Watch the border ranges and coastal greenery give way to the colours of the outback. The first flight is one and a half hours long landing at Roma Queensland for a couple snacks and a quick pit stop, then flying another one and a half hours to Longreach Queensland. In Longreach we visit the famous QANTAS Museum and Stockman's Hall of Fame. We have a couple fun local surprises included - finishing the day with a sunset cruise on the Thomson River and top outback accomodation!
After breakfast the second day we depart Longreach for Birdsville, arriving 10:30am. This day is action-packed with some serious fun! After a fun day at the races we kick back at the Birdsville pub for an early dinner, and then heading to watch Brophy's Boxing (A MUST DO)!
After a night of fun we fly a starlight flight to Windorah Queensland where our select outback accomodation escapes the Birdsville races craze.
The third day is a late start with a big breakfast and short tour of Windorah. The flight back to Archerfield goes via Roma and we will arrive back in Brisbane at 3:30pm.
