Turkish Bath Experience in Istanbul
Indulge yourself in a steam, soap, and scrub at an authentic hamam with this 1 hour Turkish bath experience in Istanbul.
Duration: 2 Hours
Operating Days: Daily
Tour Starting Time: Anytime between 9:00am thru 13:00
Hurrem Sultan Hamami.
You will leave your coyness at the door and follow the locals’ lead to strip off completely or to change into your bikini or swimming shorts if you want to reserve your modesty. Then slip on your peştamal (traditional cotton robe) and step inside the bath chamber where a heated marble platform covers the floor.
Lie on the marble slab and relax to encourage your body to sweat and splash yourself with hot water from the bathing basins that line the edges of the room. After roughly 45 minutes of relaxing and building up a sweat in the steamy bath chamber, one of the baths’ attendants will exfoliate your body, scrubbing you down with a loofah mitten and hot, soapy water. Rinse away the soapy suds with hot water from the bathing basins, put your peştamal back on and then visit one of the baths’ cooler rooms to relax.
The duration of each stage of your Turkish baths experience varies, but most people find 45 minutes on the marble slab, 15 minutes of exfoliation, and an hour of relaxation time to be the norm. Feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, you will return to the changing rooms to dress and then leave the bath house.

Explore the Gallipoli Peninsula and its famous sites during this small-group guided day trip from Istanbul.
Duration: 15 Hours
Operating Days: Daily
Tour Starting Time: 06:30am at centrally located Istanbul hotels
Child: Ages 5–11
Your tour will start with a ride to Gallipoli by air-conditioned coach. You will buckle up and cruise along the renowned Gallipoli Peninsula as you hear your guide explaining the story of this treacherous WWI military offensive. You will learn more details about the campaign launched in April 1915 by the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) that aimed to support dwindling Russian forces. The goal of the allied troops was to topple Ottoman Turkish forces and sack Istanbul, then Constantinople. By January 1916, the campaign was a stalemate and the Allied troops retreated after massive casualties on both sides of about 100,000 troops. Once arrived in Gallipoli after around a 5-hour journey, you will have the opportunity to stretch your legs with a stop at ANZAC Cove. Follow your guide and see the 25th April landing’s beach and The Neck, a site where 40% of Australian troops perished with little to show for the effort.
Then, you will visit Johnston’s Jolly and observe former Allied and Turkish trenches and other remnants of war. Next, discover the somber memorials of soldiers who perished. You will also stop at the heartbreaking Australian Lone Pine Cemetery and Memorial to observe engravings of close to 5,000 men. Then, visit the honorable New Zealand Memorial Chunuk Bair, the site where New Zealanders held their ground in the summer of 1915.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy your lunch that is included (drinks are extra) in your trip. As the sun begins to set, hop back in your coach and leave Gallipoli honouring the soldiers with your remembrance. You will traverse back to your Istanbul hotel where your tour concludes.
