A short drive leads to historic Stirling, the "Key to the Kingdom." We pause at Old Stirling Bridge, where William Wallace routed English forces in 1297. From Stirling, we journey into Perthshire to "The Fair City" of Perth on the banks of the River Tay. Afterwards, enjoy a relaxed lunch at a riverside bistro or cosy local café. If time permits and you wish to linger, add an optional detour to magnificent Scone Palace, the crowning ground of Robert the Bruce, complete with roaming peacocks and Victorian gardens.
