Cultural Centre Tour
Your experience begins with a warm Welcome to Country , acknowledging the spirit of the land, Elders, and the cultural stories that guide this place.
You will then enjoy a peaceful guided walk through the Ethno-Botanical Garden , where your guide shares stories of native plants traditionally used for food, medicine, tools, and daily life. This outdoor journey offers deep cultural insight and a connection to Country.
Next, step inside the Gwoonwardu Mia Museum , home to powerful interactive displays and artworks created by local Aboriginal people. Learn about the history, traditions, and stories of the five language groups of the region.
The tour continues back outside into the garden, where a special area is set up exclusively for your group . Here, you will take part in a rare hands-on session with ancient Yinggarda artefacts and traditional bush medicines . Touch, explore, and learn about the tools, objects, and healing plants used by the old people for thousands of years.
Your experience concludes with a relaxing native-inspired morning tea , featuring:
• Freshly cooked damper
• Native condiments
• A selection of traditional bush teas
Enjoy this peaceful moment in the garden while asking questions and connecting further with your guide.
