Sunset Walking Tour
Experience the magic of sunset on Yinggarda Country on our Sunset Walking Tour (Gnullyari Gudu) — an inspiring cultural experience that invites visitors to slow down, listen and connect with the ancient stories of the land.
Led by Rennee, a proud Yinggarda woman, this relaxed guided walk follows heritage trails along the floodplains at the mouth of the Gascoyne River. As the afternoon light softens, the landscape reveals the deep cultural knowledge that has shaped life on Country for thousands of years. Along the way you will discover how Yinggarda people read the natural environment — from the flowering of native plants to the movements of animals — as seasonal indicators that guide traditional life. Learn about bush foods, medicinal plants and the cultural significance of the surrounding
landscape while walking through one of Western Australia’s most unique coastal ecosystems.
As the sun begins to set, the floodplains glow in spectacular colours and the evening sounds of the land emerge. This peaceful moment offers time to reflect on the connection between people, culture and Country. The tour concludes at twilight, with a traditional sand ceremony, intimately connecting visitors to Country.
