The experienced team of handlers at our venue near Neath are passionate about the art of falconry, which makes this the perfect place to learn how to fly, feed and train some of the world's most majestic birds of prey. The surrounding Welsh countryside is perfect for falconry too, so if you're heading out on a hawk walk you're guaranteed spectacular views of the birds, and the countryside!

Pontneddfechan Village Hall provides the meeting place for your falconry adventure, where toilets (including disabled facilities), parking and cafe are all available. We'll also take photos and short videos of your experience for you to enjoy. Spectators are welcome - Charges may apply please check on booking

2.5hr Hawk Walk

This 2.5 hour adventure is the perfect introduction to the art of falconry, and gives you the chance to see these majestic birds of prey in full flight. On arrival you will be introduced to the birds that you'll be handling, and after mastering some basic falconry skills it's time to head off. As you work your way through the countryside the hawks will follow on, which gives you the chance to see them soar through the air. You won't just be watching them from afar though, you'll have the chance to call the birds to your fist, and nothing beats the sensation of seeing a bird of prey swoop through the air and land on your glove.

Falconry Experience

This unforgettable 4 hour experience gives you the chance to handle and fly some of the world's most majestic birds of prey. The day starts with a short introduction to the art of falconry, and after learning how to handle the birds safely it's time to take a closer look at some of the different species. As well as learning about the history of falconry, you'll be shown how the birds are trained to fly to fist, and this is when you'll get the incredible opportunity to handle the birds. So if you've always wonder how and why birds of prey are trained, this unique hands on experience gives you the perfect opportunity to find out.
